H.I.M., AMORPHIS, SILENTIUM Confirmed For Romania's ARTMANIA FESTIVAL

March 18, 2006

H.I.M., AMORPHIS, SILENTIUM and CARMEN GRAY have been confirmed for the Artmania Festival, a three-day event focusing only on Finnish bands set to be held July 14-16 in Transylvania, Sibiu, Romania.

In addition to live performances, Artmania Festival will feature other interesting events such as visual art exhibitions, film screenings, classic music performances, lectures and workshops. Two of the most representative personalities of the Finnish art milieu, Jan Kaila and Elina Brotherus, will display their worldwide acclaimed works in Sibiu during the three-day festival. The photography and video art exhibitions will be hosted by the Brukenthal Museum, located in the Big Square of the Town, a landmark of Transilvania’s cultural heritage. Classic music concerts, piano competitions and recitals will be performed by young artists at the Thalia Hall, an exquisite site built on the ancient walls surrounding the medieval city. Last December, Tarja Turunen, the ex-NIGHTWISH singer, performed a sold-out Christmas concert there.
